People of Northern Kurdistan head to Qandil for Eid

On the first day of Eid, people from Northern Kurdistan who live in the South have taken off from Sulaymaniyah to visit the human shield action in Qandil against the Turkish state’s invasion attacks.

Protests and reactions against the Turkish state’s invasion attacks continue to grow. All parts of society are protesting the invasion, while support for mass demonstrations grows.

Support for the human shield action launched on June 8 in Binare under the lead of the Patriotic Youth Movement and the Young Women’s Movement against the invasion of Qandil continues to grow.

After citizens from Rojava who live in Ranya, Qeladizê and Bashur, politicians and the Derin peshmerga announced support for the action in Qandil, the people of the North who live in Bashur turned towards Qandil on the first day of the Eid, taking off from Sulaymaniyah to support the human shield action.

Citizens gathered in Sulaymaniyah in the morning prepared their cars and took off to Qandil.

The group is expected to reach Qandil by noon, and they will be visiting the young people in the human shield action to spend Eid with them.

The human shield action launched by the youth continues on its 8th day, as support from Bashure Kurdistan grows.
