People of Qandil region spoke to ANF about the ongoing invasion attacks of the Turkish state and affiliated gangs on Efrîn an Shehba and expressed harshest condemnation.
Eyşe Nebî stated that they themselves suffer from forced emigration, and implied that the harshest response possible should be given to those who oppress the Kurdish people. Nebî made clear that it is a duty of all four parts of Kurdistan to protect Efrîn Canton, and said, "The occupants kill our people, without even making any difference between children and elders. To free us Kurds from this oppression, we need to respond to this in the harshest manner possible. In this respect I condemn the attacks of the Turkish state."
Cemîle Ezîz stressed that the Kurdish people should manifest joint stance against attacks on Efrîn Canton which she called an immense victimization. Ezîz said, "Efrîn is a peaceful and modest Kurdish city, but they want to raise havoc and oppress it. I condemn this aggression. All four parts of Kurdistan need to stand up and respond with unity."
Îbrahîm Muhammed expressed his anger with the words, "I am outraged of their nefariousness. We cannot let these attacks go unanswered. Whole Kurdistan needs to make use of all existing means in any manners to respond these attacks equally."
Zana Selîm, a youth from Qandil, said, "I condemn the attacks on Rojava that are actually very dangerous. Since the very first day the Turkish state was founded, it has been an enemy of the Kurdish people. The Turkish state wants to annihilate us Kurds, but we will prevail against their plans."
When we asked the children Dilvîn and Dîna about their opinion, they started to recite poems about the love for the homeland Kurdistan and said they dedicate it to their peers in Efrîn.
Armanc Resûl called the attacks on Efrîn Canton as remnants of a fascist mentality and expressed his exasperation towards the invasion attacks of the Turkish state, and concluded, "We, the people of Qandil, make clear that we are in full solidarity with our people in Efrîn."
