A peshmerga commander affiliated to the KDP in Shengal was reportedly killed by unidentified person(s) last night. According to reports, the peshmerga commander by the name of Sheikh Newaf Mirza, who was heading one of the intelligence battalions of KDP, was killed by unidentified person(s).

While local sources cite blood feud as the reason, Shengal Peshmerga Commander Kasım Shesho spoke to KDP press and stated that investigation has been launched into the incident.
