PJAK guerrillas celebrated the 19th anniversary of their party, as well as the 74th birthday of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan, by planting saplings.
Kurdistan Free Life Party (PJAK) guerrillas held a ceremony on the occasion of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan's birthday and PJAK's 19th founding anniversary on 4 April.
Speaking at the ceremony, PJAK co-chair, Zîlan Vejîn, stated that they regard the birthday of Abdullah Öcalan as the birth of PJAK, freedom fighters and every Kurdish person.
Vejîn said: “PJAK is not just a party. It is an idea, thought and philosophy with a historical, organizational, ethical and ecological background, which has fifty years of struggle experience behind it. For the physical freedom of our Leader and the success of the 'Jin, Jiyan, Azadi' revolution, we must intensify and expand the freedom struggle in Eastern Kurdistan and Iran."
Drawing attention to the freedom and struggle of PJAK, Zîlan Vejîn stated that the party had a national and democratic character since its establishment.
Vejîn said: “The birth of our Leader means not only the birth of a personality, but also the birth of a free struggle in Kurdistan. This birth created a new Kurdistan.”
After the speech, saplings were planted.
