The Martyrs’ Committee of the PKK has announced the death of Şaha Hisên. The Kurdish revolutionary was with the PKK since 1989 and died of cancer in Rojava.

The PKK (Kurdistan Workers' Party) Solidarity Committee with the Families of Martyrs announced that Şaha Hisên (Nom de Guerre: Şaha Dêrik) died of cancer on October 1 in Rojava. After the martyrdom of her friend Berivan, she joined the PKK in 1989. She initially worked for the population for two years and impressed many people with her modest personality.
