PKK announced that embracing self-administration, avenging Turkish state massacres, and struggling to create a free society were necessary for defeating the conspiracy that targeted Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan.
PKK Executive Committee released a written statement on the anniversary of the February 15 conspiracy. In its statement, the Executive Committee strongly condemned the powers that took part in the conspiracy targeting Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan, and vowed to continue struggling against the conspirators until humanity achieved freedom. PKK commemorated the martyrdom of tens of people who set themselves on fire in order to protest the international conspiracy against Öcalan, who had become the hope of freedom for Kurdish people under the risk of genocide. PKK noted that the conspiracy represented hegemonic powers’ and their local collaborators’ goals of destroying hopes for a free society and continuing their hegemony through blood and tears. The Executive Committee described the genocide attempts of AKP fascism from Cizre to Sur and Gever as part of these goals, and stated that Öcalan upset international powers’ plans of civil war through his stance and policies. PKK said that Kurdish people and the liberation movement were close to defeating the conspiracy through their revolutions in Rojava and Shengal that embrace Öcalan. PKK also said that AKP fascism concentrated all of its efforts to brutally attack Kurdish people’s liberation movement, but the democratic self-administration resistance in places such as Cizre, Sur, Nusaybin, Silopi, Şırnak, Gever, and Hezex would soon defeat the goals of the international conspiracy.
‘LIBERATION OF LEADER APO IS OUR MAIN DUTY’
PKK Executive Committee stated that embracing self-administration, avenging Turkish state massacres, and struggling to create a free society were necessary for defeating the conspiracy that targeted Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan. PKK described the liberation of Leader Apo as its main duty, and called upon everyone to increase the level of resistance in Northern Kurdistan and avenge the on-going massacres of the Turkish state.
The Executive Committee stated that the struggle for self-administration would continue until the system of democratic autonomy was established, and called upon Kurdish people to support the liberation movement in order to end the isolation of Öcalan and defeat the goals of the international conspiracy entering its 18th year today.
‘ALL MASSACRES WILL BE AVENGED’
PKK Executive Committee stated that AKP’s savage massacres including burning wounded people in Cizre aimed to break the will of Kurdish people’s resistance, but were bound to fail and the AKP would be brought to justice through the glorious resistance of the people. PKK saluted the memories of Cizre, Sur and Silopi martyrs such as Sevê, Fatma, Pakize, Sultan and Mehmet, and said that it would never forget the massacre in Cizre. PKK Executive Committee ended its statement by promising resistance and victory to Kurdish people, and calling upon them as well as revolutionary and democratic forces in Turkey to increase the level of resistance against AKP fascism.
