The PKK Executive Committee issued a condolences message for Ömer Çağer (Hoca): "The memory of comrade Hodja and all our heroic martyrs will live in our struggle for freedom from victory to victory."
The PKK Executive Committee statement said the party's veteran militant, Ömer Çağer (Hoca) Comrade, lost his life on 22 January while being treated.
"We remember Comrade Hoca, who has given 35 years of his precious life to the struggle for freedom in Kurdistan, with respect and gratitude and share the pain of all party comrades, his family and our patriotic people."
The PKK vowed to keep "the flag held by Comrade Hoca high" and added that "the memory of Comrade Hoca and all our heroic martyrs will live in our struggle for freedom that spreads from victory to victory."
The PKK called on "all our people to remember our heroic martyrs once again in the person of Comrade Hoca, and call on all our comrades and people to strengthen our struggle for freedom in the path of the Leader and Martyrs."
