Young people celebrated Kurdish New Year Newroz in Xaçort (Hacıbekir) neighborhood of the Van province last night.

Police attacked the celebration in the neighborhood, facing response from the youth. The confrontation continued into the night.          

Police forces retreated from the neighborhood at midnight hours.
