Following last night's incidents in Xaçort (Hacıbekir) neighborhood of Van where one person was executed, police forces demolished all the houses surrounding the scene.

In the wake of the clash that took place at around 22:00, police detained 15 people on alleged charges of “aiding and abetting terrorism”, including 2-year-old baby Botan Ürek and his mother. While 5 of the detainees have been released, 10 are still held in custody.

The detainees from two families are: Basri, Semra, Zeliha, Mahmut, Mehmet, M. Arif, Ferhat, Abdülbaki Ürek and Zeki and Nazife Aslan.
