As a curfew and onslught by Turkish state forces continues for the 6th day in Sur district of Amed, the historical Kurşunlu Mosque which was hit with bombs fired by police for days, has been set on fire today.
The fire trucks that rushed to the scene to put out the fire were not allowed to enter the area, and are being kept waiting at Şeyh (Sheikh) Said Square at the moment.
On the other hand, a bomb fired by special operation teams hit a civilian house in Hasırlı neighborhood. While the bomb started a fire, screams of children were heard from inside the house, upon which people attempted to save the children but were hindered by police with gunfire. Several people managed to reach the house and rescue the children.
The fires in the historical Kurşunlu Mosque and the civilian house continue.
