Genocidal attacks of state forces under the guise of a “curfew” continue with intense attacks on the 28th day in Şırnak. Tanks, artillery weapons and armored vehicles stationed along the hills - starting from 23rd Gendarmerie Border Division Command in the eastern part of the town until Çakırsöğüt Gendarmerie Division in the west on Mişûlê, Serê Sirkê and Kendêlîş Cemetery -bombed the neighborhoods of self-rule throughout yesterday. Gazipaşa, İsmetpaşa, Bahçelievler, Cumhuriyet and Dicle neighborhoods were targeted and suffered heavy bombings.
STATE FORCES CAN’T ADVANCE
Violent clashes occurred between YPS/YPS-JIN members and state forces trying to enter the neighborhoods by means of bombings. Several ambulances dispatched to the area were seen heading to the 23rd Gendarmerie Border Division Command and Şırnak Public Hospital. Local sources claim there to be casualties but no concrete information could be reached.
BOMBING CONTINUES, HOUSES CATCH ON FIRE
Attacks that started in the morning hours continue and intensify. Several houses have caught fire as a result of the ongoing bombardmet.
Violent clashes broke out when YPS/YPS-JIN members retaliated against the state forces’ attempts to enter the areas of self-rule in Yenimahalle and Bahçelievler neighborhoods.
UAV ACTIVITY
Meanwhile, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV’s) have been active in the city skyline since yesterday evening.
