The Turkish army is currently preparing for a large-scale military operation in the region of Mount Cudi in the countryside of Şırnak province. The exact center of operations will most likely be the Eynika area. The use of Turkish Air Force and involvement of village guards in the operation is also expected.

In August this year, the Turkish army set fire to large forest areas during military operations in Cudi and Şırnak countryside.
