Prison and lashes for East Kurdistan activists who protested Turkish invasion of Rojava

The Iranian judiciary sentenced 13 activists to 6 months in prison and 30 lashes for supporting Rojava and protesting the Turkish state invasion.

An Iranian court in Marivan, Eastern Kurdistan, sentenced 13 civil society activists to 6 months in prison and 30 lashes.

The Kurdistan Human Rights Movement named the activists as follows: Fûad Yusfî, Efşîn Rehmanî, Kemal Konepoşî, Seyid Umîd Secadî, Şehab Zemanî, Mubîn Nadrî, Tarîq Rostemî, Dyako Taba, Hîmet Kerîmî, Mêhdî Umîqî, 'qûbî ve Mihemed Nadrî.

The activists were tried on the grounds of a march in Marivan they joined. The march was protesting the Turkish occupation of Rojava and was held on 12 October 2019.
