PUK parliamentarian Zana Abdurrahman Abdullah commented on the Turkish state’s request for help in its massacres in North Kurdistan. Abdullah said that the Turkish state’s attempts were in vain and PUK would never establish anti-Kurdish relations with any state. Abdullah objected to the closure of Sêmalka border gate between South and West Kurdistan, and said that the closure of the border was the decision of the KDP, not the parliament of South Kurdistan. Abdullah called upon the KDP to change its arbitrary decision to close the border.
‘WE WILL NOT FIGHT OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS’
Speaking to ANF, Abdullah emphasized that they would not side with the Turkish state and fight the PKK and the people of Northern Kurdistan. Abdullah stated that they would upset the plans of the Turkish state and continue to side with the Kurds fighting for freedom in the North, East and West.
The PUK parliamentarian noted that Turkish and other states may request help in their fights against other Kurdish organizations, but the PUK would not fight its brothers and sisters and harm the interests of Kurdish people. Abdullah underlined that they would not further relations with other states at the expense of the interests of Kurdish people.
'NOBODY SHOULD DREAM OF A CONFLICT'
Abdullah emphasized that the PUK has had good relations with the PKK, and would not further its relations with the Turkish state at the expense of Kurds in North Kurdistan. Abdullah noted that states in the region would always try to pit Kurdish people against one another, and have unfortunately succeeded in the past. Abdullah said that the wars between the North and the South hurt both sides, and nobody should dream of clashes today because the PUK has learned from history and would not participate in intra-Kurdish conflicts.
'SÊMALKA BORDERGATE SHOULD BE OPENED IMMEDIATELY'
PUK parliamentarian Abdullah objected to the closure of Sêmalka border gate between South and West Kurdistan, and said that the KDP, not the parliament of South Kurdistan, was responsible for this act. Abdullah stated that they have demanded the opening of the border from the KDP, and called upon the officials to open the border as soon as possible.
Abdullah noted that the closure of the border gate harmed the Kurdish people of Rojava and invited the KDP to stop its current policy. Lastly, Abdullah said that everyone should support the struggle and federation declaration in Rojava.
