The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) President Bafil Talabani published a message on the 10th anniversary of the Yazidi Genocide.

The message published on Talabani’s social media account said: "The genocide of Yazidis by ISIS terrorists is an unforgettable crime and a great pain in the hearts of all of us. Today, with deep sorrow, we commemorate our losses and remember the valued Yazidis who were left alone in their own land."

Talabani stated that the PUK is making efforts for the reconstruction of Shengal and the return of the Yazidi people to their lands. He also stressed that they are cautious against political schemes that endanger the lives of Yazidis, and that they have developed a broad strategy to protect the rights of Yazidis and to defend this important Kurdish history.
