West Kurdistan's Democratic Union Party (PYD) has released a statement on the occasion of 12th foundation anniversary of the party, stressing that their primary goal was to create free and organized humans, and that they would continue working for the values of humanity and fraternity of peoples.

'WE BASE ON LEADER ÖCALAN'

PYD underlined that their main objective was to 'create free human', adding; "For our party which was founded on 20 September 2003, the Qamishlo uprising in 2004's March became a great experience, in the wake of which dozens of our leading cadres fell a martyr in the struggle we have waged, from Bavê Cudi and Şîlan Kobanê to Osman Silêman and Îsa Hiso."

PYD stated that the primary goal of the party, which based on the idea and philosophy of Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan, was to raise free humans needed for a democratic and organised society, capable of defending their societal human values and principles and making this decision on the basis of their free will and self-power.

PYD recalled that the party recognized and grounded itself on the Democratic Autonomy Project, the solution of all the problems of Middle East peoples, at their third congress in 2007.

"The struggle waged by Kurdish youths and people in Serêkaniyê, Kobanê, Hesekê and all across Rojava, has revealed the extend of will and resistance of the Kurdish people, and proved to the whole world that they could defend the values of humanity and fraternity of peoples. This experience became an example for the democratic Syria project for all the peoples living in Syria, and the Democratic Middle East Confederalism project for the peoples across the Middle East."

'FRATERNITY OF PEOPLES BASED ON DEMOCRATIC NATION'

At the end of its statement, PYD pointed out that; "At the 12th foundation anniversary of our party, we state our people that we will be the defenders of human values and dignity to the end, and continue working for the fraternity of peoples on the basis of democratic nation.”

PYD added that they will remain loyal to those who lost their lives fighting in this struggle.
