On orders from the Turkish Ministry of Interior Affairs, all workplaces and homes of families are being profiled in Amed for the last two weeks.
Police visit the marked homes and workplaces one by one and demand to know who the homes and workplaces are registered for and what their phone numbers are.
Reports say the Ministry of the Interior issued written orders for the Amed Governorate and Security Directorate on the Prime Ministry’s demand and asked for a profiling of all homes and workplaces.
Following the orders, security directorates and police offices in Kayapınar, Yenişehir, Sur and Bağlar districts received written orders that demand they profile all workplaces and all standalone houses, apartment buildings and residential compounds in their jurisdiction.
The profiling efforts started in Kayapınar and Yenişehir districts. The police visit homes and workplaces one by one with the documents and demand information on the residents, whether they are owners or renters and ID and telephone information from owners and renters both.
Turkish police visit each home and workplace in Kayapınar and Yenişehir districts and distribute documents to be filled out, and demand they be returned to the nearest police station by Thursday considering some residents may be out of city for work or vacations.
