The resistance of YPS/YPS-JIN members continue against the genocidal attacks launched under the guise of “curfews” on March 14 in Şırnak. The constant attacks by tens of thousands of soldiers, police and village guards with tanks, artilleries, howitzers and heavy weapons have reached the 64th day.

Violent clashes continued through the night, focused in Yeni, Bahçelievler and Aydınlıkevler neighborhoods. The area between Tekzer and Yeni neighborhood was raked through by armored vehicles.

Several houses caught fire during the clashes and some of the fires are still burning.

The week-long constant clashes around the Highways Maintenance Center in Bahçelievler neighborhood continued through the night. The neighborhood is covered in smoke due to the state forces burning and demolishing houses one by one as they try to advance. Ambulance activity can be seen in the clash zones. No concrete information on the results of the clashes could be reached at the moment.

Snipers stationed in higher buildings in the city continue shooting into the self-rule neighborhoods.

Howitzers started firing on Yeni and Bahçelievler neighborhoods in the early morning hours. Several houses caught fire due to the intense bombing. UAV activity continues in Şırnak city center and rural areas.
