The General Coordination of Rojava Cantons has released a statement regarding claims that armed forces affiliated to South Kurdistan's KDP will go to Rojava, West Kurdistan.
The General Coordination pointed out that they as the Democratic Autonomous Administration of Rojava have always valued close relations and cooperation with the other parts of Kurdistan, but denied the claims in question, saying they didn't have such a topic on their agenda.
“The Democratic Autonomous Administration, YPG/YPJ in the first place, Rojava Asayish (Public Security) Forces and Self-Defense Forces have been protecting and defending the territory and people of Rojava. It is only these mentioned forces that are legal and legitimate in Rojava”, the statement underlined.
The General Coordination of Rojava Cantons has therewith called upon all the powers from Kurdistan to develop relations that avoid an intervention and are based on mutual respect.
