On the 19th anniversary of the October 9 plot against Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan, HPG and YJA Star guerrillas said that the Rojava Revolution is a response to the plot.

Speaking to ANF Turkish service the guerrillas said the plot against Öcalan is frustrated and they will continue to struggle until the Kurdish leader is free.

‘WE CANNOT BE SEPARATED FROM OUR LEADER’

YJA Star guerrilla Avinar Merivan: Our enemies are trying to eliminate our movement and massacre our people. But our movement is growing day by day. The plot against our leader is frustrated by our people’s resistance, our leader’s stance and the growth of our movement. We prevented our enemies from reaching their goals according to their plan. They want to keep up with the plot. But we cannot be separated from our leader by isolation. We will continue to struggle until our leader is free.

‘WE WILL END THE PLOT’

HPG guerrilla Brusk Civiyan: We as freedom fighters of the Kurdish people and militants of our leader Apo, will end the plot (against Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan). We will achieve victory with more action and dedication.

‘ROJAVA REVOLUTION IS ÖCALAN’S ACHIEVEMENT’

Mahir Destina: Although the powers behind the October 9 plot managed to force Leader Apo out of Syria they failed at the end. Because today in Rojava and Northern Kurdistan, people laid the framework for democratic confederalism and a popular revolution started. This revolution is a great response against the plot. As fighters of leader Apo, we will continue to struggle against the plot and those behind it.

‘THIS YEAR WILL BE YEAR OF FREEDOM’

Saho Germiyan: They tried to cast a shadow over the future of Kurdish people. But the plot was frustrated by the uprising of Kurdish people, great resistance by leader Apo and the struggle of Kurdish guerrilla. These years of resistance and struggle will be the time when we achieve freedom.
