Rojda Felat: We will avenge the women massacred by ISIS

SDF commander Rojda Felat stated that women play a leading role in the Wrath of Euphrates Initiative and will avenge the women massacred by ISIS.

SDF commander Rojda Felat stated that life has become hell for the women of Raqqa after ISIS gangs’ occupation, and have requested that SDF, YPG and YPJ forces liberate Raqqa from the gangs. Felat noted that a so-called Asayish unit of the gangs constantly harass and detain women and force them to marry the gangs.

YPJ PLAYS AN ACTIVE ROLE IN THE LIBERATION INITIATIVE

Rojda Felat emphasized that YPJ fighters have become the nightmare of ISIS gangs and take the historic step of playing a leading role in the initiative to liberate Raqqa. Felat described the initiative as a historic attempt to end ISIS cruelty in Raqqa and to end the perception of women as slaves, and underlined that women would end the so-called caliphate by liberating the capital of ISIS gangs in Syria. The SDF commander said that YPJ fighters in the Wrath of Euphrates Initiative fight against ISIS gangs in order to end the cruelty against women, and rewrite history as they lead women’s march from freedom.

YPJ REPRESENTS THE WOMEN OF THE WORLD

SDF commander Rojda Felat emphasized that with their participation in the initiative, YPJ fighters represent the women of the world and fight against ISIS with a historic responsibility. Felat reiterated that they would avenge the women raped, sold into slavery and massacred by ISIS.

Lastly, Rojda Felat noted that YPJ’s struggle inspires all women around the world, particularly Arab women, and the Arab members of the YPJ would play a key role as they liberate Raqqa and transform their society.
