Rûbar Migrant Camp in Efrîn in need of medical aid

492 children in Rûbar Migrant Camp in Rojava's Efrîn city have caught infectious diseases. Doctors say the diseases are caused by the heat and lack of enough medicine.

Infectious diseases have spread among migrant children who came from the Shehba region to Rûbar Migrant Camp in Efrîn. Due to the heat, 492 children show symptoms such as stomach pains, nausea, diarrhea and allergies. There is a shortage of medicine in the camp and this creates the risk of increased infections among the children.

The Migrants Bureau conducts education sessions for families on how to protect children from disease.

Xalid Kîlo, doctor in the Migrant Camp, says they can’t intervene with the infectious diseases enough due to the medicine shortage. He called on the families to take keeping the camp clean very seriously.

Şiyar Hecî Mehmûd, member of the Migrants Bureau, called on international health organisations for support.
