SDF Siluk Commander Amed Tolhildan stated that they have reached the end of the first half of the initiative to liberate Raqqa from ISIS gangs.
SDF Commander Amed Tolhildan spoke to ANF and stated that they have reached the end of the first half of the ‘Wrath of Euphrates’ initiative to liberate Raqqa from ISIS gangs. Tolhildan said that they have advanced a total of 30 kms in the past week, and were about to unite with the Eyn Îsa armd of the operation.
Tolhildan said “The initiative is going as planned. Most importantly, the morale of all of our fighters is high. The most important aspect of the first phase of our initiative is that we fully secured the areas that we had liberated in the past. As ISIS forces retreat towards Raqqa city, liberated areas become more secure.”
Tolhildan noted that none of the fighters have died or got seriously wounded and ISIS has lost both territory and gang members so far. Tolhildan noted that many civilians have become prisoners of ISIS and the operation began upon the request of civilians from Raqqa that had escaped from their city and sought refuge in Rojava.
Lastly, Tolhildan emphasized that Raqqa is one of the most important cities occupied by ISIS, and the victory of the ‘Wrath of Euphrates’ initiative will prevent the gangs from damaging the world and and give comfort to the peoples of the region.
