According to the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) Press Center, SDF forces yesterday foiled a terrorist attack carried out by an ISIS cell on one of their military points in the town of Al-Sabha.

“The cell, using motorcycles and machine guns, launched a treacherous and indiscriminate attack. As they passed by the military position, they opened fire on our fighters. Thanks to the vigilance and readiness of our forces, the attack was thwarted immediately. Our fighters responded swiftly, engaging in a clash with the terrorists,” said the SDF statement.

SDF reported that a civilian in the vicinity was injured due to the indiscriminate gunfire by the terrorists. SDF forces provided first aid and evacuated him for medical treatment. During this time, the terrorist cell exploited the situation and fled the area.

SDF stressed that their forces remain steadfast in their mission to permanently defeat the terrorist organization, dismantle its cells, cut off its resources, and preserve the security and stability of the region.
