The General Command of Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) released a statement regarding the the accident that resulted in the martyrdom of 17 of its fighters in southern Tabqa on Tuesday.

The statement said:

“Two days ago, in the Operation Wrath of Euphrates, 17 of our comrades fell as martyrs and we have had injured comrades as the result of an accident that occurred in the conflicts around Tabqa city.

The SDF General Command has launched a joint investigation with the International Coalition to investigate the cause of the incident.

We express our condolences to the families of our martyrs."
