HPG Media Center announced that HPG guerilla Zerdeşt Cilo (Celal Mensuri) carried out a self-sacrifice action against the Melkis military base in Amed’s Hazro district around 23:45 on December 10. HPG stated that Cilo carried out the action as a response to the Turkish army’s massacres and genocidal attacks in Kurdistan, and 18 soldiers were injured during Cilo’s car bomb action.

HPG noted that Cilo had joined the guerilla ranks in 2008, and became the symbol of commitment during the 8 years he spent across Kurdistan.
