On the 60th day of the onslaught by Turkish military and police forces in Şırnak, violent clashes of last night continued till the early hours of the morning amid an aerial activity. Turkish jets flew over the city for a while before heading towards Besta and Gabar mountains.

Heavy clashes took place in Bahçelievler, Yeni, İsmetpaşa and Cumhuriyet neighborhoods throughout the night, after which the neighborhoods came under tank, howitzer and artillery fire in the early morning hours. Severe clashes that erupted in Bahçelievler neighborhood alongside the bombardment are going on.

The city and surroundings are witnessing an intense activity of helicopters and UAVs.
