The action initiated by the Shengal people to support the Êzidixan Asayish (Public Security) continues on its 22nd day.
The action of Yazidis, who set up a tent nearby the Shengal public security headquarter in order to oppose the agreement signed by the Iraqi central government and Southern Kurdistan Administration and to support the Êzidixan public security, continues on its 22nd day.
The Shengal people who visited the protest tent expressed their reaction saying, "We are all public security". The local people visited the resistance tent in groups and expressed their solidarity with the protesters.
One of the activists, Borik Maya, a member of the Women's Council, said, “Our demands from the Iraqi government have not been fulfilled yet. The existence of the Shengal public security is a matter of life and death for the people of Shengal. The Yazidi people protect themselves with this power. As women, children, young and old people, we will defend ourselves and resist the existing policies."
