Democratic Union Party (PYD) General Assembly Member Emin Eliko spoke to ANHA about the agreement signed between Baghdad and Hewlêr [Erbil] governments with regard to Shengal.

"PART OF THE IHVAN (MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD) PROJECT"

Eliko warned that the agreement would lead to new massacres against Yazidis and said, “This agreement is a conspiracy. This conspiracy initiated by the Turkish state is a part of Muslim Brotherhood project. The AKP government intervenes in the internal affairs of neighboring countries in order to get rid of its deadlocks.”

"THE YAZIDIS HAVE HUNDREDS OF MARTYRS"

Citing the extensive attack launched by ISIS gangs against Shengal in 2014, Eliko reminded that no one except YPG and YPJ stood by the people of Shengal. Evoking the resistance of the people of Shengal, Eliko expressed that the Yazidis have hundreds of martyrs against the Turkish state-backed ISIS.

"EVERYONE KNOWS THE MEANING OF THE AGREEMENT"

Emphasizing that the Baghdad-Hewler agreement will not benefit anyone, Eliko continued, “The purpose of this agreement is to create confusion within the Yazidi community. When Shengal was liberated from ISIS gangs, the Yazidi community formed its own autonomous administration. The KDP should take these into account. We hope that they will embrace their national essence as soon as possible and serve the just cause of the Kurdish people. Everyone knows that this agreement means to sell out the Yazidis.”

Addressing the international public at the end of his speech, Eliko demanded that the Turkish state's impertinent occupation policy be stopped.
