Six female guerrillas were martyred in the province of Amed (Diyarbakir) at the end of April. According to the press center of the People's Defense Forces (HPG), the Turkish army launched a military operation in Helezilê in the Şehîd Remzi area on April 27, setting up camera traps. The operation was expanded a day later, and the first contact between the Turkish army and guerrillas occurred at 5:30 a.m. on April 19 near the village of Kurtê. A skirmish broke out in which several soldiers were killed and wounded, according to HPG statement. The operational troops were then withdrawn a bit further and the area was bombarded first by fighter jets and then by helicopters.
"During the day-long fighting, our companions Nujin, Berfin, Bese, Eser, Jiyan and Tekoşin were martyred in heroic combat," the HPG press office said. Exact details on the identities of the martyrs are to be released at a later date. The military operation was suspended on May 5.
Guerrilla airstrike in Metina
In the statement, the HPG also reported another drone attack by its "Şehîd Delal Air Defense Forces". According to the statement, the occupation forces at Zendûra hill in the Metina region were attacked twice from the air on May 10.

Regarding the Turkish army's continued airstrikes on guerrilla areas in southern Kurdistan, the HPG press office reported that on May 10, the Zendûra hill in Metina was bombed by fighter jets at 2:10 p.m. and the area surrounding the hill and the village of Kêste were bombed by attack helicopters between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m.
In the Zap region, fighter jets attacked the Sida slopes and Chemcho Valley on Monday. The bombing caused a terrain fire to break out. In the Şuke, Mervanos and Mamreşo areas of Avashin, helicopter flights took place for hours on Monday evening. The latest airstrikes did not result in guerrilla casualties.
