According to information obtained from local sources, clash erupted between HPG guerrillas and Turkish military forces in the countryside of Şapata village in Hakkari’s Şemdinli district Sunday evening.

At least six special operations police have been reported killed in the clash, while reports suggest that the actual number of casualties could be higher.

Amid reports of clashes, Turkish soldiers have reportedly conducted a raid in Şapata village and detained many inhabitants.
