Six victims of the deadly fire in Cizre identified

The building where 37 people took shelter came under attack of Turkish forces yesterday, which started a huge fire that wasn't allowed to be extinguished, consequently killing 9 heavily wounded people inside.

As the state of siege continues in Cizre district of Şırnak for 65 days now, it came out yesterday that 37 people including injured were trapped in a house in Cudi neighborhood in addition to dozens stuck in a basement for 14 days.

The names of 6 among them are; Şervan Adıgüzel, Ercan Pişkin, Muhammet Özkül, Nizar Isırgan, Cengiz Sansak and Ramazan Çömlek. Three others remain unidentified.

Names of some of the wounded are; Fidan Dadak, Fedek Çağdavul, Servet Çörek, Yasemin Çıkmaz, Serdar Özbek, Mehmet Atlan, Hasan Ayaz (13) Ekrem Çevirgen (14) and Abdulkerim Oruç.

In the meantime, it has been 6 days since the last news came from the basement in the Cudi neighborhood where 15 wounded, 7 slain and 9 exhausted people stuck in a basement for 14 days. Every passing hour increases the suspicion of the wounded people’s execution.
