While the attacks of state forces continue with thousands of soldiers in Amed’s Lice district and edge towards Silvan and Kulp districts, the villagers are stopped at the entrances of their villages and their food supplies are seized, because they will “take it to the terrorists”.
Attacks on Amed’s Lice district intensify with each passing day. Thousands of soldiers have been dispatched to the area and the special operations units positioned in rural areas of the district have laid siege to every stone in the fields. State forces are now starting to prevent food supplies from entering the villages. The village guards, soldiers and special operations units closed off the entrances of the villages and are conducting very thorough searches on villagers going to and from the district.
The villagers wanting to take the food supplies they bought from the district to their homes in the villages are also stopped in the village entrances and their supplies are seized, because they would “take it to the terrorists” otherwise. The soldiers advance towards villages in Kulp and Silvan district every day and raid the villages on the way to threaten the residents with death and evacuation. Kerwas, Licok and Xelxel villages have been evacuated by the state forces who then promptly began transporting construction supplies to these areas to start building outposts.
Turkish soldiers and special operations units are reported to have advanced up to Beşiştê village in Lice, which shares borders with Kulp and Silvan districts.
