Bombing and clashes continue in Şırnak on the 36th day of the state’s genocidal attacks. 3 buildings had collapsed in explosions previously in İsmetpaşa neighborhood, and yesterday evening there were explosions in the former police department building and another building that the special operations units had seized.
BODIES TAKEN TO GENDARMERIE COMMAND
The neighborhood couldn’t be reached in the night and reports say that there are many people wounded and dead in the building that collapsed on one side. The death and injury count isn’t certain yet but the casualties were taken to Şırnak Public Hospital and 23rd Gendarmerie Border Division Command with ambulances dispatched to the area.
Howitzers shelled the neighborhood all night after 3 special operations members were killed in evening clashes in the same neighborhood. The bombing continued non-stop in the neighborhood where flames were seen rising, and black smoke covered the sky above the city.
VIOLENT CLASHES CONTINUE
There are violent clashes in several neighborhoods in the city that faces intense attacks. Howitzers stationed around the city are bombing Yenimahalle, Dicle, İsmetpaşa, Cumhuriyet and Gazipaşa neighborhoods. The state forces trying to enter self-rule zones and YPS/YPS-JIN members clash violently in these neighborhoods.
The Turkish UAV and helicopter activity above the city also continues.
