While clashes focused on İsmetpaşa and Cumhuriyet neighborhoods in Şırnak continue, the neighborhoods have been hit by howitzers constantly for the last 12 hours. Fires broke out in several houses and haven’t been put out.

The palace forces’ genocidal attacks have entered the 42nd day in Şırnak. İsmetpaşa and Cumhuriyet neighborhoods have been constantly shelled with Howitzers since last night. Following the death of 2 special operations units in clashes between Palace forces trying to enter İsmetpaşa neighborhood along with the bombing and the YPS/YPS-JIN members, the palace forces have retreated to their earlier position and started the bombing again.

İsmetpaşa, Şırnak’s oldest residential area, was bombed continuously through the night and several houses caught on fire. Skies above the city have been covered in black smoke since last night. The fire department isn’t allowed to intervene with the houses on fire.

Violent clashes broke out between state forces and YPS/YPS-JIN members in the upper parts of İsmetpaşa and Cumhuriyet neighborhoods before dawn. The bombing ad the clashes continues.

Meanwhile, several ambulances were seen dispatched to the clash zones from 23rd Gendarmerie Border Division Command and Şırnak Public Hospital but no concrete information has been reached regarding the number of deaths and injuries.

UAV activity also continues since last night and sources report low flying helicopters taking off from the 23rd Gendarmerie Border Division Command in the direction of Cudi and Gabar mountains.
