Thousands of people in Sulaymaniyah, Rania, Keladizê, Rewandûz and Kelar, protested Kurdistan Regional Government on Monday.
Demonstrators demanded the resignation of the Kurdistan Regional Government and a transparent and fair election.
The unrest is mainly caused by the economic and political crisis after the independence referendum on September. As Iraqi government started a blockade against Kurdistan, the salaries of clerks and security forces were significantly reduced.
The lack of infrastructure and power shortages are among the reasons of unrest in Southern Kurdistan.
