Suicide attack in Qamishlo kills 5 Asayish members
5 Asayish (public security) members lost their lives in an attack on the asayish control point in Qamishlo’s Kornîş neighborhood.
A suicide attack hit the asayish control point in Xelîç Street in Qamishlo’s Kornîş neighborhood around 8.45 this morning.
According to information provided by Cizîr Canton Council of Health’s Co-chair, 5 asayish members lost their lives and 4 others were wounded in the suicide attack.
The wounded asayish members are hospitalized and under treatment at the moment.
Asayish units have banned entrance and exit to the area of the suicide attack and are running an investigation.
