Thousands of people marched in Sulaymaniyah for KCK General Presidential Council Member Diyar Xerib (Helmet), who was martyred in a Turkish state airstrike on July 5.
Thousands of people in Sulaymaniyah in Southern Kurdistan protested the Turkish army airstrikes and KCK General Presidential Council Member Diyar Xerib’s martyrdom in an airstrike.
The crowd started to march from the Bextiyari neighborhood and the march continued to the Ahesur Mosque in the city center, with PKK and KCK flags and photographs of Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Ocalan and martyr Diyar Xerib.
The crowd frequently chanted, “Helmet never dies”, “Invaders will be defeated”, “Helmet is the jewel on our crown”, “KCK is the people”, “Resistance in Qandil Insurgence in Sulaymaniyah” and offered their condolences to Xerib’s family and comrades.
