PUK leader Bafil Talabani stated that the Kurdistan Region has been under the rule of a single party for a long time and that this party has sold the Kurdistan lands to Kurdish enemies.
The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) Chairman Bafil Jalal Talabani issued a message on the occasion of the start of the election campaign for the Kurdistan Region Parliament.
Talabani said, “The party that has held the Kurdistan Region Administration for a long time has sold the Kurdistan Region lands to the enemies of the Kurdish people and Kurdistan. Our people must finally find peace. Drones use our airspace every day and massacre our citizens and no one raises their voice against this.”
Stating that the party in power in the Kurdistan Region did not even allow Baghdad to send the salaries of the employees, Talabani defined the situation as ‘playing games with the citizens’.
Talabani pointed out that in the past, the Kurdistan Region was highly respected at the international level due to its freedoms, but today writers and journalists are imprisoned and accused of terrorism due to their articles and writings.
