Tevgera Azadî Spokesperson Tara Hüseyin made a press statement in Hewler and stated that Kurds must come together and peshmergas, guerillas, YBŞ forces and other fighters must participate in Mosul operation under a joint command.
Hüseyin criticized the officials that have made the Kurdistan regional parliament dysfunctional and said “Today, were were supposed to present our projects and proposals to the parliament but unfortunately this is not happening.” Hüseyin said that Mosul would soon be liberated and “as Kurdish people, we must unite because this is the only way for us to be strong in the international arena. Peshmergas, guerillas, YBŞ forces and other fighters must participate in Mosul operation under a joint command.”
Hüseyin described the presence of Turkish troops in Iraq as dangerous, and said that the war against ISIS was also a war against Turkey. Hüseyin said that the areas that Kurdish forces liberate from ISIS would remain under Kurdish control.
Tara Hüseyin emphasized that the future of Mosul was interconnected with the futures of Shengal and Hewler, and said “We proposed a conference for the establishment of a joint command under which Kurdish forces would participate in Mosul operation. With this conference, we wanted to develop a joint command of Kurdish forces. The presence of Turkish troops in the region should have been a red line for all Kurds.”
Hüseyin expressed Tevgera Azadî’s support for the project the HDP presented to the political parties in South Kurdistan, and said that HDP’s proposals were crucial for the development of a solution in the region.
Lastly, Hüseyin recalled that Asayish forces tried to prevent Tevgera Azadî from making the press statement, and said that Tevgera Azadî did not need the approval of Asayish forces in order the make the statement.
