Turkish army continues its operation in Mount Tendürek region located between Doğubayazıt district of Ağrı and Çaldıran district of Van for around two weeks now. Suffering heavy blows at the hands of guerrilla forces during clashes, the Turkish army has now closed the Tendürek passage to traffic with heavy construction equipment on the grounds of clashes.

Closure of the road creates problems for the locals who are reportedly experincing difficulties in meeting their daily needs.

HPG Press Office announced in a recent statement that dozens of Turkish soldiers were killed in clashes in Tendürek region.
