The AKP government’s political genocide operations continued today as tens of people including HDP members were detained. 14 students were detained during police raids in student houses and the HDP building in Çanakkale. Several people including the HDP district Co-President were detained in Dersim’s Xozat district. 8 of the 18 people detained in Dersim’s Pêrtag district were released. Several people including children were detained during house raids in Adana this morning.

ÇANAKKELE  

Police raided the houses of students that study at 18 March University in Çanakkale this morning as well as the HDP Çanakkale Headquarters. 14 students were detained and taken to Çanakkale Police Headquarters, and the police seized the students’ computers and books.

HOZAT

HDP District Co-President Sinan Karakoç, Önder Aslan, Hüseyin Yeşil and Oktay Rüzgar were detained during the house raids in Dersim’s Xozat (Hozat) district this morning. There is no knowledge of Veli Bağrıyanık, whose house was also raided. The detainees were taken to the Xozat Police Headquarters, and the siege on Bargini village continues as Turkish soldiers raid villagers’ houses.

ADANA

Police officers raided houses in several neighborhoods in Adana’s Seyhan and Yüreğir districts this morning. Several people including children were detained and taken to Adana Police Headquarters without any explanation.
