As the Turkish state’s invasion attacks against Bashure Kurdistan continue, Iranian regime forces are frequently bombing the Bradost and Soran areas. Citizens in the Bradost region protest the attacks while the Kurdistan Regional and central Iraqi governments continue their silence against the invasion.
Academics and activists protesting the invasion attacks called on the government to stand against the invasion.
Academic at the Soran University Cebar Eli pointed out the invasion attacks by the Iranian regime and the Turkish state: “The Kurdistan Regional Government is weak when it comes to protecting its borders, Iraq on the other hand does nothing against the invasion, thus enabling it. The presence of foreign powers in the lands of Bashure Kurdistan is dangerous. The Kurdish people and forces should come together so Turkey or Iran don’t have military presence in the region. The Kurdish people and forces should put forth a single united stance.”
Women’s rights activist Feyroz Binawi said the powers in Bashure Kurdistan are letting the Turkish invasion pass: “The Turkish state has built dozens of military bases in the region. Kurdish powers should not be silent in the face of invasion attacks by the Turkish state. The Turkish state forces must be removed from Bashure Kurdistan.”
Journalist Eşqî Surçî said the Turkish state’s invasion attacks have adversely affected the life of Bradost residents: “Turkish state presence in the region is very dangerous for the people. Kurds will never accept the Turkish army.”
