Thousands are joining the rally of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) in Cizre district of Şırnak which is also attended by HDP Co-chair Sezai Temelli.

Masses have rushed to the rally grounds starting from early morning, chanting “HDP is people and the people are here”, and “We will win resisting”.

People from Şırnak and other districts of the city are also joining the rally, in addition to families of Roboski victims, DBP (Democratic Regions’ Party) co-mayors who have been replaced with state-appointed trustees, and families of the young people who lost their life during the self-rule resistance in the region.

The rally grounds is filled with people despite heavy police presence and blockade and hot weather. Masses are forming large chains of halay- Kurdish traditional dance to the accompaniment of songs performed by Koma (Band) Gulên Xerzan.
