Three bodies retrieved from Sur identified

Bodies of Erhan Keskin, Erdal Tekin and Welat Bilen who lost their lives during the popular resistance in Amed's central Sur district, have been identified finally through DNA tests. In the meantime, yet another dead body has been recovered from Sur.
Bodies of Erhan Keskin, Erdal Tekin and Welat Bilen had been retrieved from Sur on March 30 and remained unidentified since. Bodies of the three were later taken to the Xarpêt (Elazığ) Forensic Medicine Institution and have just been identified through DNA tests.
Families of the slain youths, who have been on vigil to receive their children's bodies for months, are expected to get the bodies soon. 7 families waiting to be given the bodies of their slain children are still running the vigil at Dicle Fırat Cultural Centre.
In the meantime, yet another dead body has been recovered from the historic district of Sur where the siege by Turkish forces remains in place for months despite the announcement on the ending of operations long ago.
The body is yet unidentified and has been taken to Gazi Yaşargil Training and Research Hospital.
