Turkish police stormed houses and a dormitory in the Akköprü neighborhood of Van province early this morning. Bilal A. (28) and Eda T. (22) were taken into custody in the operation.

On the other hand, a 50-year-old man was detained during a raid in Pehlivan neighborhood of Hakkari province earlier today.

All the three detainees are reportedly accused of “being members of a terrorist organization” and “aiding and abetting a terrorist organization”.

The two young people detained in Van have been taken to Hakkari to give their statements.
