Three people have been taken into custody in Adıyaman on Friday. The operation came after the arrest of six people by the gendarmerie (military police) during house raids in the Çelikhan district on March 9.

Those detained in the operations include former co-mayors of DBP-held Bulam town, Mehmet Çağlan and Cevahir Büyükşahin and HDP members Erdal Çalğan, Adiguzel Demirci, Hasan Büyükşahin, Erdal Ün, Veysel Demirci, Nurettin Çalğan and İsmail Toptaş.

The detainees are held at Adıyaman provincial gendarmeries command.
