People’s Defense Forces Press Office (HPG-BIM) released a statement informing about the most recent actions carried out by guerrillas against the Turkish army.
The statement reads as follows;
“Within the scope of the Martyr Pîroz and Martyr Agirî Revolutionary Campaign, on June 20, at 18.30, our guerrilla forces carried out an action targeting the occupying Turkish army soldiers positioned on the Koordine hill in Hakkari’s Çelê (Çukurca) district.
The positions of the enemy forces on the hill were effectively struck. Two positions were destroyed and three enemy soldiers were killed in the action.
On June 27-28, the warplanes of the occupying Turkish army carried out air strikes targeting the Medya Defence Zones. In this scope;
On June 27, at 11.00, the Ergenê region in the Garê area, the Keşan region in Haftanin area and Sıtuna, Golka hill and Cola Baze regions were bombed by the occupying Turkish army.
On June 28, at 09.30, the warplanes of the occupying Turkish army targeted a car belonging to locals in the Jilya village of Sîdekan region within the territory of Southern Kurdistan.”
