Sultan Murat Brigade gang members Ehmed Mehemed Casim and Elî Mehemed Ehmed caught in a YPG Anti-Terror Units (YAT) operation have made significant confessions.
According to ANHA’s report, the acquired footage shows the thugs who were caught also took part in the ambush and kidnapping of the 4 YPG fighters.
GANGS RECRUIT PEOPLE WITH MONEY
The gang member named Ehmed Mehemed Casim said he was from Cidey village in Hema. He said the events in Syria started when he was a student in his village, and his family migrated to Xan Şêxun region because of it. Mehemed Casim said he joined the armed group El-Izê there.
He said a young man came to him when he was in Xan Şexun and said, “Let’s go to the villages north of Aleppo, there we will join ISIS, I heard they gave $200 to everybody,” and casim went with him to the Atmê region.
“WE WERE CROSSED OVER TO HATAY”
Casim said they went to Atmê Camp on the border between Idlib and Hatay, which was supposedly set up for Syrian refugees, and then they were taken over to Hatay.
Casim underlined that they were taken to Jarablus from Hatay and his words, “They took us to Turkey’s Jarablus town from Atmê” shows that he isn’t familiar with Jarablus. Casim said: “Turkish officials told us the Kurds weren’t good, that they were good, and that is why the Kurds needed to be fought. They gave us 40 tanks and they came with us.”
“WE SAW THE CITY WAS EMPTY”
Casim exposed the joint Jarablus plan between Turkey and ISIS like so: “Before they told us that we would fight ISIS and the Kurds, but when we arrived in Jarablus we saw that the city was empty. There was nobody around.”
“WE TORTURED KURDS TOGETHER WITH TURKS”
Casim also gave information on the 4 YPG fighters who went to help the civilians in the massacre in El-Kusa village on the call of Jarablus Military Council. Casim said he was part of the group who took the fighters prisoner and said: “We were at a village, there were some Kurds there who had lost their way. We caught them and tortured them. Then the Turks took them, removed their clothes and tortured them, and took them with them. We were left with their cars.”
The gang members caught in the YAT operation also said that they were caught with the YPG fighters’ car.
“NOBODY SHOULD FALL INTO THIS TRAP”
Casim said the Turks deceived them with money to fight against the Kurds, that he regretted his actions, and that nobody should fall into this trap. Mehemed added that they didn’t suffer any mistreatment even though they were taken prisoner.
“The gang members are all greedy,” said Casim, “They are all blood merchants. We came from Hema town. The name of our battalion was Ketibe Qewafil El-Şuheda. When we came, they told us it was a new battalion. Then they turned us over to the Sultan Murad group. There are so many of them, and they are backed by Turkey.”
“WE CROSSED OVER TO TURKEY”
The other gang member Elî Mehemed Ehmed said the following: “I was a farmer. I crossed over to Turkey from Atmê town, and then I came to Jarablus. They deceived us with $200. We came for the money, they told us they would give us bonuses. They gathered us all in a camp in Turkey before we came to Jarablus. They gave us arms, ammunition and tanks. Afterwards we crossed over under protection of jet planes. I went to them because my family is poor. My family had nothing to eat, should I have let them die of hunger? These people are blood merchants, they tricked us too.”
