Trustee hands over DBP’s women’s center to Sümeyye Erdoğan
The Women Life Center opened by DBP’s Gürpınar Municipality was handed over by the appointed trustee to KADEM where President Erdoğan’s daughter Sümeyye Erdoğan is vice president.
The Women Life Center opened by DBP’s Gürpınar Municipality was handed over by the appointed trustee to KADEM where President Erdoğan’s daughter Sümeyye Erdoğan is vice president.
A trustee had been appointed after DBP’s Gürpınar Co-mayors Yıldız Çetin and Zeki Yıldız were removed from office on February 3, 2017. Trustee Gürpınar District Governor Osman Doğramacı draws a reaction with the policies he implements. Doğramacı has signed many scandalous decrees including shutting down community clinics and women’s centers.
And now Doğramacı has handed over the Women Life Center opened during the DBP’s term to the Women and Democracy Association, KADEM, where President Erdoğan’s daughter Sümeyye Erdoğan is the vice president.
Sümeyye Erdoğan is expected to visit Gürpınar and attend KADEM’s opening ceremony in the coming days.
DAYCARE TURNED INTO QURAN COURSE
Xeyri Şinik, the daycare DBP’s Gürpınar Municipality opened to provide education to children in Kurdish, is also targeted by the trustee. The daycare, named after Hayrettin Şınık (8) who lost his life in Cizre, was opened to the public on March 2016 by the DBP municipality. The trustee turned the daycare over to the district religious affairs directorate and it is now used as a Quran course.
TRUSTEE’S WIFE APPOINTED AS DIRECTOR
The trustee Osman Doğramacı didn’t shut down the daycare that was opened during the DBP period. But the reason Doğramacı didn’t shut the daycare down was discovered later: Osman Doğramacı appointed his wife Hatice Doğramacı as a director to the Xeyri Şinik Daycare.
MUHARREM TAŞ COMMUNITY CLINIC SHUT DOWN
Muharrem Taş Community Clinic was also shut down by Doğramacı. The community clinic had been built in memory of Muharrem Taş, who was seared into public memory in 2014 when he froze to death and his father carried his body in a sack.
The district doesn’t have a hospital and the Community Clinic served the people’s medical needs free of charge.
WORKERCIDE
48 workers were fired 3 weeks ago in the Gürpınar Municipality. A total of 73 subcontract employees were working in the municipality.
KARAKOYUN: HE IS DOING WHAT INVADERS SHOULD DO!
HDP Gürpınar District Co-chair Handan Karakoyun spoke on the issue and stated that the trustee policy itself was an invasion of the municipality and it would be wrong to expect services from this approach. Karakoyun said the Gürpınar trustee, like all the others, was appointed to roll back the gains Kurds made, and quickly set to work on this goal. She added that the people will give the necessary response in the first election to come, like they did in the Referendum.
